Pirbright, England. 1953. Four British Army drill sergeants who were attached to the Australian and New Zealand Coronation Contingent during the Contingents preparations for the march and guard duties while in England to attend the coronation of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The colour sergeants are, left to right: The Royal Scots Guards; The Irish Guards; The Welsh Guards; The Coldstream Guards.

thought it looked like Jesse James initially, but i doubt he would have been a full bloke in 1953

This WG Full/Sgt served in WW2. And His BD jacket is better pressed than the others.

Jessie was RSM in 66 13 years after this picture? so if it is him took 13 more years from full bloke, to CQMS, CSM, Drill/Sgt TO RSM, Could have been him i suppose, but would have meant he flew to full bloke, and if as Mike Wakely noted he served in WW11 i just think it cant be Jessie, even though to me it looks like him.

Allan I agree it is Jessie as he was RSM Lizzie Barracks I was working in the Sgs Mess John Ellis was his Batman And Reg Coe was Drill Sgt Les Griffiths was his Batman,Cant remember who was the other Drill Sgt,
